I'm a 16 year old girl working at a sports bar. Obviously this doesn't affect me much at all since I'm not even close to the level of these people, but it's still kinda concerning.
I was talking to one of the new hires who is a manager in training. She mentioned that when she was hired by the GM of the store, she was specifically told not to share her pay with others. Apparently when the GM does the paperwork for new managers in training, she sends the papers off saying they make $1 an hour so that nobody else in the store knows how much each manager makes.
The GM specifically told this girl that the ONLY people who will know are the GM, the accountant, and the girl herself. She even stated that this is so that she (GM) will know if any manager shares their salary, because literally nobody else knows other than those 3 people.
Like I said this doesn't affect me at all, it's just kinda weird..
