I had an interview recently for an inside sales position, after which I received an invitation for a second interview. That’s a good sign, I thought to myself.
When I attended the second interview, it was to inform me they decided to do away with the position I applied to (which had a base salary plus commission opportunities), but instead wanted to offer the position as commission only if the higher-ups approved.
The whole thing felt kinda bait-and-switchy, so I didn’t continue any further with them, but was wondering how common this was, if anybody else had experienced something similar.
