I am so frustrated right now and freaking out. I applied to a job in another city because my family and I are looking to relocate there soon. I applied for a similar job in that city and had 1 phone interview last week. Didn’t think much of it. I get an email from my boss this morning telling me that the company I interviewed with called, and asked me what they should say to them. I obviously said this was a job I applied to before but am no longer pursuing and my boss seemed okay. However this caused me great anxiety and it seems SUPER unprofessional for them to just call my current job without my permission. Thoughts?
