A general nation wide strike? Why not?

Why with the wealth gap of the middle class at the greatest disparity ever. With companies still making record profit along with record inflation, with billionaires paying less income tax than the average joe, why aren't we on a general workers strike nation wide? Seriously why not? Go on strike and force congress to actually pass a law that prevents billionaires from loop holing out of income tax. Literally make them pay their paltry 34% income tax. Every sector, every city. It's taken place in the past in cities, and it works. So what's stopping us? What's the biggest hold up? teachers, truckers, grocery store workers, gas station attendants, cleaners, nurses, police, fire, everyone! Or even specifically for individual sectors? Nation wide teacher strike for actual school funding, better teacher pay, protections from academic censorship. Truckers… actually protesting what matters???? Like bullshit contractor labels, scammed out of pay during loading/unloading,…

Like bullshit contractor labels, scammed out of pay during loading/unloading, treated like an expendable item by your bosses.

Amazon workers, maybe a chance to pee without being fired.

Grocery workers…. protest for a living wage, not have to have food stamps while working in a place that sells food.

Nearly every industry for the middle class is underpaid. And the sad part is 50% of the working class isn't worried about the ungodly sums of money being hoarded and loop holed at the top. They are worried about the guy making 25% less than them on the same rung and not the guy making 39,000% more than them who pays less tax then they do.

So what would it take for a general strike, either by sector or simply nation wide? What percent of the work force would need to go on strike to make the change? What % needs to strike to force congresses hand to actually legitimately close the billionaire loophole??????????

There would no doubt be temporary pain for the middle class to do this, but no matter how you slice or dice it nearly every issue in society can be linked back to too much money being hoarded out of circulation at the top, and an underpaid middle class.

So, what will it take? Why not?
