a short story of a company that is trying

So, I work for a company that staffs the dining facilities on a college campus. It's decent enough work. We have a union. Company was struggling after lockdown ended and the kids returned. A lot of people either moved on to new jobs or were fired. We are very understaffed right now and can barely keep all three dining halls opened. They tried leaning on student workers but that didn't really work out cause Student workers get crap pay, weird hours, and no real benefits. Not exactly enough to be a fully independent adult but hey the benefits are nice.

Company is still struggling but starting to (slowly) get its shit together. I've need some new faces around. The students are still very unhappy with the quality of the food that's being served but that's a whole other story.

I just thought I'd share that some companies are trying to adapt instead of having their heads up their asses.
