I have had a health issue that was a little life threatening (fine if i got treatment but dead if i ignored it), realized it in the middle of an overnight shift. When no coworkers could/would come cover me to go to urgent care my boss and his wife split what was left of my shift for me to go. Since then while fighting with insurance to get it removed my boss has kept all of my shifts double scheduled (I'm scheduled to work but someone else is on the schedule as a replacement if needed) because he knows I need the money but wants me to be able to leave if I'm in too bad of shape.
Now, that it's stretched into its third week, instead of getting tired of dealing with it, bossman has upped his offer and said if I wanted he would work one of the shifts I'm normally scheduled for but keep it as my hours on the timesheet if that would help. I'm not necessarily saying this is the line in the sand but just remember yall, if your bosses treat you like shit there are jobs with management who still remember how tf they got there and will prioritize you as a person before they do as an employee.
