A tale of an Interview?

Just came back from an interview and I wanted to tell everyone about it just to gauge if I'm right to be a bit taken aback. I sent in my application for an Athletic Club and they asked me for a quick “Phone interview.” I agreed to receive a call at 11am. After giving my number to the interviewer, 11am came and went that day without a phone call. Around 12:15pm I sent an email basically asking them why they didn't call me. “I am so sorry about that. Are you free now?” So finally, at 3:00pm that same day, she called me and basically said that her only availibility to meet is today (Sunday, Father's day). I reluctantly agreed to 12:00pm. I didn't mean to do it but I show up at the front desk of the athletic club at exactly 12:05pm. The front desk workers told me that,…

Are you free now?”

So finally, at 3:00pm that same day, she called me and basically said that her only availibility to meet is today (Sunday, Father's day). I reluctantly agreed to 12:00pm.

I didn't mean to do it but I show up at the front desk of the athletic club at exactly 12:05pm. The front desk workers told me that, “It's 12:05. You probably won't be having your interview today.”

I just emailed her after leaving and asked if this was true.

Her response was, “Yes that's true. We take timeliness very seriously at Life Time. Arriving 5 minutes late for your interview isn't something we can tolerate.”

TL;DR : They didn't call me for the arranged interview until 3 hours after I mentioned it. I show up at the facility 5 minutes late and they turn me away.

Just to let everyone know I usually try to arrive on time to my interviews, even in a situation like this.
