(This is a cry for help)
I often see people talking about job hopping on this sub, and how much more they get offered than they already make. I trully believe they’re right and I often see such opportunities appear. BUT…
As a software developer I feel kinda bonded to the projects Im working on in the company I work (they’re company projects and not my original ideas), and I can’t contemplate just picking up on other peoples projects and doing something just to move to another company and keep hopping and changing and never finishing anything (even though I know a project will never be finished anyway).
Any solid advice on how to change mentality over such topics? I wish I could come with a project of my own so I didn’t depend on working for any company, but I dont see it happening.
