Accommodate me? Really? Pls Fire Me.

I have been on sick leave from my job for a couple of months. Short of it is that I have an autoimmune disease which flared up badly due to stress from work plus having caught covid 2x. My body just quit on me. They were trying to deminish my role after my second round of covid, which I have documented. I have been on sick leave from my job for a couple of months. Short of it is that I have an autoimmune disease which flared up badly due to stress from work plus having caught covid 2x. My body just quit on me.

They were trying to deminish my role after my second round of covid, which I have documented.

My company does not provide short term disability benefits even though I'm a full time employee. I have been receiving Unemployment Insurance fromy province. Further, they don't cover my insurance premiums while I'm out, so that comes out of pocket to cover myself and my two kids.

They want a Dr note each time I see my Dr elsewise 'they will no longer be able to accommodate me'.
Drs notes go from $20-40 a piece.

My point being is that have done nothing to 'accommodate' me whatsoever except for having a position I could return to I suppose.
Id love for them to just fire me at this point, because it's such a toxic environment!

Any suggestions on how to angle that? I'm at the point where I'm done with this place. It isn't worth my health over. I just want to be able to continue to claim UI as much as I can.
