Exactly as the title says, I was noticeably unwell with a fever of 38°c and was sent home. One of the managers at my workplace accused me of being hungover and insisted that I had been out the previous night because “your pupils are too big”. I'd already been off sick for a week this month due to a horrendous mouth infection, so I felt like I had to go in today. I left work and spent the next 7 hours in bed, in absolute agony and unable to sleep all the while dreading that I would lose my job even after I had made an effort to go in.
