Advice on finding a new job for a recent college graduate

Hi Everyone, I'm not sure if this type of post is allowed, so if it's not, feel free to remove it. Like the title says, I'm a recent graduate with my bachelors in biology & I'm looking for a job working in a lab/healthcare. I'm eventually interested in applying to graduate school for pharmacy, but don't plan to do that for a couple years. Anyway, I have always just taken the first job that's been offered to me. I'm pretty young, so I don't have much experience, especially in my field of interest. This sub has really opened my eyes to advocating for myself and not settling for something less than what I'm worth, so I'm super grateful to have found it when I did.

My current dilema: I have been applying/looking for a new job for a couple of weeks since my current one is ending & this morning I got a call offering me a job at a mental health facility. It seems like a good place to work and it's in the field that I'm interested in, but (I think?) the pay is lower than what I would like and it's not exactly a lab position, more patient interaction. I've heard back from a couple other places that are more in line with what I'm looking for & pay better, but I'm worried that if I hold out & these oppertunites are not a sure bet and they might fall through, causing me to have to prolong my search.

My question comes down to basically, should I take this job because it's adjacent to what I'm looking for, has security, there are oppertunities for advancement, etc. Or should I hold out for something better that may never come? I have enough financial security to be unemployed for a little while, but healthcare is something that is on my mind that I need. Has anyone been in a similar situation or could offer advice from a more experienced perspective? Anything is helpful, thanks!
