So my situation is I'm a level 2 casual trying to get a level 3 contract full time (already working full time hours). In order to do so my direct manager and floor manager need to sign me off on training. I have done all my training and have been doing the amount of work for 4 people. There is just one single thing that I wanted to be reminded about before saying I was fully competent in it. I've been asking my direct manager and my boss all year to do my training so I can be signed off and done, however my manager is refusing to sign off.
He refuses to sign off because the other day someone wasn't here and person who was meant to do his job decided to just vanish for a while which forced me to do his job too. I have been trained in that, however I had 2 training sessions and then at a minimum 3 months had passed between training and now. The guy who vanished left everything out ready to go, so I just jumped on. Everything he got out was wrong which (we're talking screws with a millimetre difference, it's not easy to tell they are wrong, so I just used them) caused a lot of issues for me as nothing went together and so I had to spend too much of the day fixing his shit. My manager saw me spending all day this and is now refusing to sign off because I'm not 100% competent at it. 3 months of not doing it then being forced to do it with the wrong stuff.
Now instead of making sure my training is (re)done, there has been ~two~ THREE other people who have been trained in what I need. Two of these people have not had any factory training before today, yet there's talk that that's going to be their new permanent job.
I'm already looking for new jobs. I've spent all day trying to type this out and each hour I just have more and more to add so this is very cut down (also sorry for formatting / errors). Should I even attempt to get level 3 or should I just leave.
