I am being offered a 10 month contract to replace my current 12 month contract. I’m going to ask if I’ll still be considered full time or if that will make me part time and how that will affect my benefits. I know they’re going to require my salary drop accordingly rather than increasing my pay. Can I file for unemployment for two months? Id love advice on negotiating pay, but I’m sure they’ll tell me to take it or leave it.
I’d like to take the offer, but I don’t know what the long term unintended consequences of this might be. I’d appreciate any thoughts or suggestions before our first meeting.
