Hello, where do I begin?
I guess if you’re into reading here the post for you? It’ll probably be a mess of thoughts and questions.
I work with animals. Mostly dogs. It’s a new job. I’ve been here since January. It was a great job at first. Lost of doggy daycare and the occasional cat daycare even. But months later it’s not any daycare. Matter of fact, every time I ask for the day care list I get hit with “we don’t have time today, go clean the kennels we have a busy week/weekend coming!” this week they (my bosses. They’re a gay couple. They live in the facility. Probably illegally. They did tell me the city doesn’t recognize the faculty as a home address and they claimed they’re caregivers for the animals. But we don’t have a 3rd shift. They don’t watch the animals overnight. Nobody does. Well get to that) double booked some of the kennels god knows how and we had to move animals from nice kennel into less nice kennels. Imagine paying extra for your dog to be in a nice kennel just for them to be put into a less nice kennel without you knowing bc the bosses double booked. Anyways. Like I was saying, they live upstairs in a room in the daycare area idk what’s up there since it’s a room. Nobody’s ver been in there. I don’t think there’s a bathroom or anything. They use the break room as the kitchen. It’s not legal. I’d love to report it but I don’t know where. We have 3 employees myself included. No 3rd shift so nobody watches the animals overnight and when I get to work in the morning the amount of poop and pee everywhere is nauseating. Sometimes the bosses will go on vacations out of state…and you guessed it. With no 3rd shift and the bosses not in their upstairs room nobody is there. Just a building full of unattended animals. This can’t be legal. Right? Also, the micromanaging is INSANE. we have a sewer out front they’ll sometimes climb into and clean out with dog poop scoops and our own hoses to see what we (the employees) are flushing. They say it’s bc the city checks to make sure we’re not flushing bleach or chemicals. I don’t buy that. We also aren’t allowed to talk to the other people in the building. The kennel workers aren’t allowed to converse with the groomers, receptionists, and so on or the bosses will see so on the cameras (they’re always watching) and come out of their offices to tell us do go do something else. Anyways. I could go on and on. The job pays well (for me) and it’s close to home. I stay mostly for the animals and the money. Where can I report this shit? I’d love to get the bosses out of the building at the very least it’s so nice for everyone when they take their vacations. To add more, they advertise services to customers we don’t even provide. We’re basically just robbing people atp. Thanks!
