I'm a shift lead for a local restaurant, the works alright and the staff is good but we aren't paid well enough at all for our work, especially the people who've been here longer. My wage has only really ever gone up with the minimum, though i make only .50 more now, after being here for years.
Anyways I applied to a new restaurant and they immediately offered me a position and to match my wage with it actually being able to go up. And the equivalent of my current position would get me $20/hr there instead of $15.50/hr.
I start my training next weekend, and as the title says I'm afraid to leave. I've gotten comfortable here and I know it'll cause issues if I leave. It feels like I'm trying to break up with someone, but I just can't seem to do it. Any advice on how to approach the subject with my superior or anything would be helpful!
