I've been applying to entry level remote jobs for months now and none seems to want to hire me and the ones that do seem like MLM jobs. I have been applying to various data entry jobs and I meet most of their requirements: has a high school diploma, has good typing speed, decent PC setup. Yet I get constant rejection letters saying they are looking for other canadates.
However, most of the jobs I've gotten in the past were because they were friends of my dad and they offered me a job. For example: I got my current security job because my dad was friends with one of the Supervisors.
I got my intern job at a computer repair shop one time because my dad was friends with one of the employers there. I'm thinking of quitting my job at my security and my dad has been offering me other jobs to do. However, they all pay $10hr and require way more hard work than doing what my job is paying which I don't want to do. I want a job that pays a living wage or makes $20+ hr or more. Anyone else like this? I would like to find a job where I don't have to rely on family to get in.
