Am I am victim of wage theft?

I work at a job that requires us to go to an office but also go “into the field” in a town 45 mins away for meetings usually once or twice a week but sometimes up to three or four. We also get to work from home two days a week. When we work from the office we get paid for our drive into the field per US law. My boss tried to claim it’s my commute because it’s my first drive to a work place for a day but per US law that my HR person sent to her when I inquired about the rule, I’m supposed to get paid for travel in a days work. I had to go as far as getting the head HR person to consult the company attorney because my boss straight up didn’t believe the first HR person. They’ve now changed company policy after realizing they’ve been illegally not paying us for our drives. I’m I entitled to the wages they should’ve paid me for all of those drives?
