Am I crazy for saying I won’t work beyond 7, on the weekends or holidays

My company timings are 9 to 6 M-F. Everyone in my country is salary. No body gets paid for overtime or gets comp off time I had a supervisor who would constantly give me work after 7, it was always urgent. This happened nearly every day. The work was mentally taxing and it's difficult to do for so many hours especially after a full day of work. So I told her I won't work after 7 and if it was urgent to tell me sooner. Same thing happened with the weekend and my PTO. I literally had to block her because she called me 7 times when I was on bereavement leave to essentially ask for work Each time she complained to my manager and my co-workers. I , thankfully no longer have work with that supervisor

However, my manager told me that long hours are expected in this industry and me not responding to the supervisor is “an area for improvement”.

Some of my coworkers have said that while they understand that they shouldn't, they still works those extra hours because it's the only way to make the deadlines

I have a coworker (different team) who doesn't work after 6:30 and people here describe it as him “running away” or “shirking his responsibility”. Pretty sure they say the same things about me

This made me pause, am I the weird one. I am literally rooting for a 32 hour week while these people are okay working 60+ hour weeks.
