Am I dumb to resign without another job lined up?

A little backstory: I have been at my current position for almost 18 months. It was/is my first job out of college and while I enjoyed it at first, an extreme turnover rate and lack of consistency in my role has caused me to hate it. For context I work at a small firm that generally has 8-12 people working in the office at any given time. The last couple of months have been especially rough, and at this point I don’t really see a future where I am happy here. My issue is I want to resign but don’t have a new job lined up. This is partially by design as I would like to take some time to improve my mental well being before I get back into working full time. Does anyone have experience with quitting without a new job lined up? If so, is there any advice you can give or insight into the challenges I may face.

TLDR; I want to quit my job without another lined up. Any advice?
