AMA: I work for an Oil company in the US. I’m also frustrated about the state of the world and companies taking record profits while running lean staff and cutting some benefits/hours/pay while making 100%+ profit over forecast.

As the title suggests, I am frustrated with the way the lower class is getting absolutely rammed by the evolving economic and social events. My company and others in the industry are still running lean work forces and cutting expenses (usually at the detriment to employees). I know the pandemic hurt business, but the insane profit growth and increasing brake checks on expenses is unsustainable and irresponsible in my opinion.
