I am a Amazon employee who recently contracted COVID. I called the employee help line to report this and the person helping me told me I would get paid for the shifts I had for a week. I got paid today and found my check was very short. Upon calling them back I found out that apparently I was given the wrong information and Amazon does not cover COVID Pay for their employees. So I had to stay home from work and not get paid despite mounting bills. Now I have to get “reactivated” before I can go back to start to work on the large hole their policies have put me in. They often preach so much about how they care about us and I am now being opened to the truth.
