The land of the free is clearly not free at all. Republican supporters may not realize it, but they are on the same sinking ship as everyone else.
So, in addition to the strikes, I have another proposal.
I'm going to do it, and I urge you to join me in refusing to celebrate the Fourth of July. It means no BBQs with friends, no buying flag-themed clothes or decorations, no fireworks, and no going to see fireworks at all.
This will be a silent strike as well as a financial disaster for corporations that profit from Fourth of July sales. Return anything you bought to celebrate the Fourth of July. Don't buy anything if you haven't already.
I used to dislike Americans, but it turns out that it is the people who run the country who irritate me, not the regular people. These days, I wish I could leave, but I can't.
So I won't be celebrating independence this year. I mean, what exactly would we be celebrating anyway?
