I work for a huge corporation in a high demand IT field. Bc they have so many people, they do yearly reviews and put people into one of three boxes; bad, good, exceptional. This determines your annual raise. Everyone in the company in a box gets the same raise. Managers stressed they have no control past putting you in a box. I got exceptional, and was told by my manager I'm the reason this place isn't completely fucked.
