The company is not abiding their own policy on this, the owner punches your address and the worksite address into google maps and we only get paid the amount of time that google maps tells him it SHOULD take to travel. Have to go to the shop first for parts? “You should already have them in your truck, we aren’t paying you for that 2 hour drive to the shop” and other BS examples abound. Numerous employees have noticed missing hours on their checks and the google maps thing has been the explanation provided as to why, in multiple emails. We use a time clock app on our phones for time punches and payroll is administered through a different system, so there will be discrepancies noted between the two and there will be punches that have been edited by management if one were to look. I live in an at-will state and really can’t afford to be fired for raising this issue loudly, so will the NLRB accept and investigate anonymous complaints and keep your name confidential during the investigation, should one be deemed necessary? Do I need other employees to sign onto the complaint if they’ve been affected as well or can I tell the NLRB what is going on and that they’re doing it to multiple employees and then the NLRB can demand to “look at the books” and check other employees checks, HR emails about the issue admitting their shady practices etc?
