Everyone has a similar story, but I want to share mine for the fortunate few that haven't endured this shit (yet). Glen was an absolute monster of a boss (about 10 years ago) in so many ways – verbally abusive, disingenuous, always (and I mean always) making sexual comments about women work colleagues bodies behind their back, and even random women when we would go out for team lunches (in front of me and other men). I was too young and naïve to stand up to him, and endured almost 3 years of this guy because I needed the money and work experience for my career.
Eventually I got out (resigned while he was trying to get me fired), but he stuck around in a position of power (like all bad employees typically do) for several more years before he finally got fired around the time the pandemic started. Saw him a few years ago while I was walking to my new office which wasn't far from where he worked – he tried to say hi and I just pretended I didn't see or hear him. Fuck you, Glen.
Edit: If you're wondering why I didn't report him to HR, this was a startup company and HR was outsourced to save money *eyeroll*
