I work(ed) at an R&D company on the corporate side. My boss was the company bully.
After a terrible weekend, I saw her coming first thing Monday morning and thought – lady you are coming at the wrong person right now. She sat down with her demeaning bullshit and something inside me snapped.
I opened with “actually X, do you wanna know what? You are the most manipulative person I have ever met” I went on about all the times she demeaned me, and ended with “sometimes I wanna get you a nice card but the feeling never lasts long” LOL fuck it felt soooooo good. Y’all know what I mean.
Nothing transpired tho. No meeting with HR, no talk with my boss. No getting written up. So I’m a cocky little shit at work after that. “Ha-ha guess we can all speak our mind with no consequence”
Got my layoff papers Friday past. Worth it ? You fucking better believe it.
