Like the title said. My wife and I left the U.S. in May. Moved to Lisbon. It's not easy and definitely takes a little money but not as much as you'd think. Heres some bonuses.
– I have comprehensive health insurance until we get on the country plan in 4 months for under 700. -If I had to pay out of pocket I would not go bankrupt.
– I wake up every day free of the fear of being shot to death.
-no car, don't need one.
I'll post more, maybe edit, if people are interested. I sold a home for a modest profit and used the proceeds for this. Not independently wealthy by any means and will run out of money if we don't work the remote jobs we found.
