Not only are the jobs we’re applying for offensively low in wages, but the application processes are the biggest pains. I have to make an account, then give my sexual, racial, cultural, and military background (which I don’t understand, especially for common jobs like customer service), turn in my resume THEN rewrite it in the application, and so much more. The only ones I understand are background checks and eligibility to work/age. Other than that, most are unnecessary and I honestly wish paper resumes were still relevant so they could just look over my resume, see if I’m an eligible fit due to my skills and/or experience, contact me via phone or email for an interview then either hire me or let me know that they’re going in another direction. It shouldn’t be that difficult to apply for a job. I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re eventually charged to apply to jobs like we are with housing.
