I live in New Zealand, and while it's not perfect we have a minimum wage of $21.40 per hour, 4 weeks annual leave, 12 public holidays & 10 days sick leave per year mandated by law. We still have labour shortages and bad employers but all workers have rights and no one can be fired without cause (after 90 days). The posts here are enough to give me nightmares.
