I got a new job and at first it was honestly a dream come true! But then our manager and district manager were both fired, our operations manager told us there was an open door policy in place in case we had questions in the meantime, but then took us utilizing it to mean that we were “too immature” and wouldn’t “do the job” even though we never indicated a lack of desire to do our jobs, just a lack of understanding regarding all the sudden policy changes. We were suddenly constantly understaffed, had two leads quit, the OM didn’t want to promote internally for the four in store leadership positions because of a “lack of experience in the company” but then hired brand new people with zero experience. On top of that, our maintenance requests aren’t being filled so the job is becoming impossible to do. I feel like I’m in the same situation I was in before, but for $3 less an hour. Is this just what jobs are now?
