So I’ve been interviewing with this company for about a month now. I had my first interview phone call w the hiring manager 3/31. So this business is a small family owned business with the husband and wife as the founders. The following week I had 2 interviews: one with the wife, then another with the husband. following that interview, I had a panel interview with the team like the week following. All of the interviews seemed great and I was convinced that I got it at some points. after the panel interview, I was told the wife would reach back out to wrap everything up. i had to reach out to her a week after that panel interview because I hadn’t heard anything in regards to scheduling that. So we do the call, which honestly felt like a repeat of the interview we had prior with her explaining the role, asking me what I can bring to the table, etc. she then proceeds to end the call saying okay just send over your references and we will let you know by the end of this week the decision. Our call was last Thursday so I gave her the benefit of the doubt to not seem annoying with my consistent follow ups but she hadn’t reached back out at the end of the week. I figured since it was the weekend they’re probably not super focused on work stuff rn. But today is Weds, it’ll be a full week tomorrow without hearing anything. I did send a follow up this morning to see if there was any update. At this point this entire interview process has taken a month. I’m just not sure if I’m wasting my time or if I should just move on from the opportunity. I felt more than qualified and I felt like I connected well with everyone on the team. I’m anxious though because I thought I’d receive an offer last week during the wrap up call but this is just dragging.
