Hey y'all! I'm a longtime lurker on this subreddit, and with the news about Roe V. Wade yesterday, I was spurred to take action. However, I can't seem to find a solid answer online as to whether undergraduate student workers (in Illinois, specifically) can unionize.
Everyone I have spoken to that has worked as an undergraduate has attested to the ridiculous demands of their bosses, as well as blatant law-breaking in terms of withholding pay, asking students to work more than they are allowed to per university rules, and even blatant discrimination based on gender/disability status/etc.
I'm tired of being pushed around. It's time to burn it all down.
Thanks so much for y'all's time! Blessed be!
