As a movement, there are a lot of things we need to accomplish. But can we come together and push for pay transparency legislation (with accountability) at a federal level?

California and Colorado have effective pay transparency laws, which state: “Employers must include the following compensation and benefits information in each posting: The hourly rate or salary compensation (or a range thereof) that the employer in good faith believes it may pay for the particular job, A general description of any bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation that are being offered for the role, and A general description of the other benefits that are being offered for the role.”Source One of the most common trends, particularly from the personal anecdotes shared here, involves companies doing a “bait and switch” relating to pay. This is unacceptable. If this movement is going to have any teeth, I propose we reach out to our congressmen and woman and push for this change. It's small, it's impactful, and it's not unreasonable.
