Things have been boiling up for a while at work (Ralph’s grocery store) and the two head managers at the store are absolutely slimy, rude jerks. Today I told them a shopping cart had hit my car in the parking lot and he said in a super rude tone “Ok? What do you expect me to do about it? I have nothing to do with that”. So I called him a d*ck and walked away. While buying a new car from a newbie salesperson, I told him about my experience selling cars at a dealership, how the dealers rip off the salespeople and treat them badly, and also how customers look down on salespersons. I went in a few days later to ask a question and he had already quit.

I work in a liquor store, we carry little snacks (chips, cheese it's, pretzels, ext.) And I love that they were all still really affordable (like $.75 per bag) and I expressed my appreciation to my boss because we aren't allowed to leave for breaks so it's nice to have some snacks to munch on (we are so understaffed I work alone about half the time so I can't leave for any reason) so he decided to let the owners know that the prices arent keeping up, so they just released a memo upping the price of everything by over $2! Who's going to pay $2.75 for a small bag of chips!? I was the only one buying anything! So gouge me, the one who is working hard every day without a break?? God I fucking hate corporate America…

Company was purchased by a private equity firm, this firm said 5 days in the office, was previously 2 in – 3 remote. If I just decided to keep that hybrid schedule and they fired me, would that disqualify me from unemployment? Just looking for honest opinions

So I was out with my gf over the weekend and she shows me this listing indeed sent her for the location I work at. We get to talking about it and turns out they would start the new hire at 16.50 which is around $1.50 more than I make. I brought this up to my manager and he claims that its because they would be going full time but the job description is literally my part time position with no mention of going full time or anything of the sort. The conversation concluded with him saying he can talk to our district manager but cant promise anything. The message I got from the conversation was essentially to kick rocks youre not gonna get a raise.
