Boss called me in with another manager and fired me for not getting work done fast enough. Termination papers say “failed to meet performance standards” I have email proof of me turning in assignments before they’re due, quickly responding to emails, working outside of normal business hours and performing work outside of my job description. Also have witnesses for all of those things as well. Wondering if my case is strong enough for unemployment.

Was recently fired without any warning and had repeated exposure to toxic chemical for months without knowledge or proper training, equipment, regularly targeted etc. Thank you for any resources!
This was a few years ago. I was filling out my time sheet for the week and opted to use a copy option which applies the prior weeks time to the current week. I submitted my time sheet not realizing that I made a mistake. For the current week I forgot that I had missed a day. Once I realized it (about an hour after submission) I sent out an email to our payroll very clearly stating the current week was incorrect because I copied the previous week's time but simply needed to change the time to reflect that I had taken a day off during the current time frame. Seems simple enough? Well, not for the person in payroll. Somehow they came to the conclusion that both weeks were incorrect even though that was never stated. Rather than read the email again, they spent 2 days going back and…
Pretty much what the title says. I am from a small town so most places pay 11 an hour for minimum wage. I'm 26f and at my job that I've been at for 3 years now pays me $11, I have asked multiple times for a raise and its been denied all times. I am however fortunate enough to have a husband that makes great money, but last month i found out that my 16 year old SIL is making 12.50 an hour and she's obviously still in high school. I put in for a new job and had an interview Tuesday. i haven't heard anything but if it doesn't work out ill still be looking for something that pays decent.
How do I tell my job I’m Dying?
I was told yesterday that I have 6months to a year and this is kinda it for me. I honestly have not processed it for myself. I am worried about losing my job because I need it to pay for the basic shit that keeps me comfortable. How do I talk to my managers to explain that I might need some flexibility with the attendance policy but also not talk my way out of a job?
Deny my raise and I’ll apply and shit on company time even more
Absolutely demoralized right now. I spent months interviewing for a six figure position. Recruiter interview, hiring manager interview, interview with senior members, skills assessment, interview with sales team, and a final cultural fit interview with the VP. I nailed every single interview. So the hiring manager emails to schedule a final call about the position. I'm absolutely giddy, usually that's a major sign that I got the job and they wanted to give me the good news. Turns out it was a call to tell me that I interviewed perfectly but was just missing one skill that another candidate had. WTF. These companies are so fucking tone deaf it's ridiculous. An email would have fucking sufficed. Just some advice to those out there, no company deserves loyalty, they don't give one shit about you so make sure you don't give one shit about them. Do the bare minimum to keep…
We're going through some extreme budget cuts right now and I'm thinking about jumping ship. I've been trying to get a desk in the office for over a year now but have always been told there wasn't availability. In the mean time, I've been working from home which isn't the worst thing but it hinders my development. Today I got a call from my boss saying that a purchase request was created for my desk but not to get my hopes up. Evidently it requires VP approval and we're probably not going to get it. Also, my request to attend a free local one-day conference was denied. It's being held by some industry leaders and is very relevant to my current role. I'm thinking about taking PTO and attending anyway. Am I being unreasonable? This is a fortune 500 company.
