I'm disappointed and upset. I had an interview for a position that was supposed to be remote and salaried. But what I got was an hour of a recruiter trying to upsale the company, told me that they were doing warm calling and I would have to drive to people's house to convince them of buying a product. The recrutier tried to convince me that this wasn't a sales job and that I would be making money. Then he should me a chart about how much I would making and how I had to work my way up to the position that I appiled for. The training isn't paid and it's an hour away from where I live. He told me that “you'll get paid in food” wtf. He said that I would have to hit a certain amount of sales before I could move up the latter. I will…

Boss insulted me on zoom
Basically the title. Zoom call-3 other people. Boss basically made me the centre of his ire because some project wasn’t going the way he wanted. I project a slide to explain something, he yells at me saying “just take off the slide, this is a discussion don’t just put on the slide!” Again, “tells me it’s not about right or wrong, if you think you are right and not open for feedback, uh” then challenges me saying okay “l am a customer, now start talking to me how you would to a customer, common! Do it” for a moment, l was like wtf, then to my horror l again pull a slide and say x, y, z …he cuts me off and goes ranting about how we should speak, how we should do everything. Others were mostly mum and another one got a little hear but l was totally bullied.…
Hey all, I was fired from my job . I know that I don’t have to tell anyone specific details but what can I say besides terminated/fired/let go? Though the job wasn’t a great fit and really toxic, I’m feeling like a failure enough without the added on judgements of “what did you do? Why were you let go?”. Financially, it’s really not feasible for me to say that I quit because it was bad, I really do need a job. Thanks
My paycheck doesn’t buy my passion.
TLDR: Manager and GM invited me to a “check-in” yesterday at my office job (been here almost 3 months now). They had some monologues to share regarding my recent performance which were dripping with corporate evangelism and many company-promotional sentiments. By the end of our conversation I was ready to put in my two weeks notice. So I started in my current role (I’ll refer to the company as “Vought”) back in April after a stretch of working part-time since December (graduated college last year). I had been job hunting for a while and the PT gig wasn’t paying the bills, so while I wasn’t at risk of going broke anytime soon, I was eating through my savings and feeling the pressure to land somewhere sooner rather than later. Enter “Vought” — a company that was somewhat related to my industry of choice (events) that I also had a personal…
All signs point to a Great Depression like scenario for the middle and working class. No, not the economy by our billionaire-centric metrics. Corporations and billionaires are taking in money hand over fist right now due to their fabricated “inflation” crisis that they caused. But the economy is on the brink of collapse due to the middle and working class literally on the verge of homelessness and starvation. The billionaires cannot make any money when there is no discretionary spending available for people to pay for things. Notice how social media now isn’t about sharing opinions or life events but now entirely revolves around selling products and finessing the little guy? 72% of all the wealth is owned by the top 10% in the nation according to the Congressional report. 33% of the wealth is owned by the top 1% and that income Inequality continues to skew further. These metrics…
It seems obvious that “job creators” are also the ones attempting to replace people with machines or AI, which is job destruction, not creation. Also, with so many layoffs in various industries that have happened after record profit reports, I just have to wonder how people don't acknowledge it. They begrudgingly create jobs. If they didn't have to create them, they wouldn't. And if they don't need people to do them (or think they don't), they'll destroy them. Creation is something they fight against.
How Uniquely American of you!
Maybe it’s been ask before but..
Why don't you create your own business ? it's seem all of you work for satan himself. I mean people who think like you would happily consume from it and apply in since you will treat them fairly. I would. I work for the French TV state industry myself and I'm much more happy than when I was in the private + I do not work for a greedy mofos. It's a win win situation for me. And I have more time to think about a business I'm working on since a year. BTW If you don't consume and work for a greedy mofos, his business will die. It's simple as that.
