As much as I completely disagree with the Canadian truckers I still have a small amount of respect for them for actually fighting back against something. I’m so tired of fellow Americans saying they are too tired or poor to organize.

I wish the truckers would actually protest for something real. Their jobs will be automated within our lifetime. They are still making a fraction of what they were making 40 years ago. Housing is still unaffordable for the vast majority of workers. Education is more expensive than ever. Their children’s futures are being stollen right underneath them. Even if you don’t think climate change is that bad, hunters and fisherman can see the immediate negative changes that are happening right in front of them. They still can’t smoke cannabis on vacation or on weekends, even though they live in a legal country (or at least American truckers can’t.) Yet there are shutting things over wearing a mask and public health policies. I think what they are doing is better than nothing like Americans have been doing since Occupy, but the reason behind it is minimal in importance compared to housing,…

I’m genuinely curious and would like to get to know more about this thread since the name boggles me. How you gonna pay your own bills if you don’t work? Unless you mean to do the work you’re passionate about? That takes more work lol

Supermarket raised prices

On Wednesday the market that I work for raised prices by $2 on most thing. As an example, sliced turkey cost $9.99 a pound. It now costs $11.99 a pound. I almost cried when I realized I had to work 1 hour to afford a pound of turkey
