Hello everyone, I am posting to ask for help. I have been threatened by the CEO of my company. I work for a government sub contractor of the FAA. He told me in no uncertain terms, that I was not to talk about salary to anyone, with a very heavy implied threat. Here is the whole story: Backgroud: I am a software developer who works on the Air Traffic System. This is the FAA NAS, and I am being paid 80K a year. I found out that all of my co-workers are getting paid 110k or more, and I have the same years of experience as them (10+). I bring very solid industry knowledge and skill to the table, and I am loved by my team at the FAA. I have been a very effective employee at this position and it is the absolute best I…

Psycho coworkers
Have to go back to the office in April. For about 3 years I forcibly had lunch with obnoxious coworkers who would talk bad about and actively seek to ruin a professional reputation if you didn’t join them for lunch. Ughh hope I can find a 100% remote job before April because I’m not having lunch and wasting hours of my day on this BS ever again.
I am currently happily employed in Europe, have 7 weeks of Paid Time Off, work 40hr/week and my overtime always rolls into extra vacation days. I never have to worry about health care or any surprise bills. I am also currently interviewing for other positions here in Europe with similar perks and possibly a 30-50% jump in pay. I recently got offered an insane offer from a California Tech Start-Up -> They really need my skillset. My salary negations went so well that they are offering me 4x of what I earn now + a yearly bonus, that's based on my perfomance. That's a life changing amount of money! I know cost of living in California is much higher than Europe but like we're talking about 4x the money. But here's the problem -> Their glassdoor reviews say that they have no work/life balance. Apparently 12+hr days are…
When are we striking?
You know what would show people were serious? A major strike. If we had as many people as possible strike at once it would be more than enough to get our voices heard. I said it once before and I'll say it again: we've shown the world we can fuck with the stock market, now let's show them we can fuck with the job market. We need a date to strike that we can all agree and act on. I personally am not a leader so I cannot bring myself to organize such a big strike. Personally however, it should be about two months from now. Enough time for bosses to fear it and so many others can hear it. We need the media to catch on and for the news to bring light to the subject. I say we act on April fools, something about it sounds right. If…
Fb antiwork ???
I work at a small family owned restaurant with a team of less than 10 people for the front of house, including our hosts. Hosts are responsible for seating, bussing etc, as well as taking to-go orders. Hosts keep all of their own tips from take outs as well as getting a tip out at the end of the night for helping servers on the floor. I am one of those servers Tonight, the assistant store manager was acting as our host, as that is part of his job, and at the end of the night he collected tip outs from all three of the servers working. Not only was he making tips from all of our to-go orders but he also makes much more than any of our usual hosts do! I was upset to say the least. I usually don't have a problem with tipping him out of…
