I know this sub hates tipping but when I think of tipping, I imagine a regular Joe or any random fellow citizen saying, “Hey! I am getting equally forked in the system as you so please help me feed my family!” and there’s something beautiful in that. Just my opinion.

Here me out, we need to elect a president who has more than half the country’s support who will stop at nothing to organize nation wide protests and worker strikes that he or she will be at for the following. Four day work week National free healthcare 25 dollar minimum wage I think we would have a chance for real change In our lifetime.
An economy where Google, Uber, Instacart and Lyft have taken over every town Where people either make mid-six figures or $20 an hour Where large tech companies scale and take over different industries while small to mid-size companies suffer Where everyday people walk in circles in confusion to make sense of all the changes, and large well-funded start-ups eat other local businesses for breakfast

After seeing all the shitty stories and whatnot of awful places to work, I think I've got it pretty good. One week pto after ninety days, two weeks at the year mark and goes up every few years. Has paternity/maternity leave (2 weeks paid), still not as good as EU but for the US not bad. Most positions are $16 to start at least where I live. Insurance is God awful expensive for family care but whatever I guess, and mostly good management aside from the couple shit stains here and there. Don't usually get bothered at lunch, unless you are a driver like me and barely get a lunch. Much better than some of the other shit places I have been to. I feel spoiled now.
So I am a barista at one of those Starbucks inside a grocery store. I work there part-time as I have another job as well. Described below is an incident I had with a manager at the store that I simply had to share. For the sake of anonymity, I'm going to call this manager “Tiffany.” I want to preface this by saying this was the first time I had ever spoken to Tiffany. I think she's a front-end manager of the store so there's not a lot of crossover between her department and mine. So Tiffany came over and told me and my coworker that one of us had to push carts.
