I notified my manager that I was having back pain and he denied my request for an ergonomic chair citing that work at home associates must supply their own furniture within the HR policy. Before I made the request, I spoke to the workplace analyst who orders this type of furniture for associates all the time, said the manager should supply reasonable accommodations even if they are a work from home associate. And ergonomic furniture is defined as a reasonable accommodation in the HR policy. I feel like my manager is being hostile about this because it’s a reasonable request and some associates already get this accommodation without being hassled.

I am routinely charged the wrong amount at the grocery store for sale items. I have to assume that it happens to every person who shops there. They make their receipts difficult to decipher. They pulling an office space on us or whatever Superman it was also in. Tired of being scammed and swindled. If you think it’s an accident, it ain’t. I don’t know if this fits here but idk where else to post
So, currently at my place of work. We cater outside of our regular monday thru Friday. We're we are w2. This year for tax season we also recieved a 1099 for the hours we had for catering. All the my coworkers are upset. What, recourse do we have?
Everyone keeps telling me, “YOU CAN GET A JOB ONLINE!” Every time I look online, there's nothing. It's all scams, the call centers are either scams or you have to know someone. The only “real” job I've ever had that was online was youtube. I posted content on there for around 1/2 a year till I had a small hiccup. Nothing I could do about it. Tried to reinstate my Adsense stuff, said I was denied. Every time someone has said, “try these websites out!” I did, they wanted me to pay for courses, or register something, or pay for a background check, NOPE. Not happening. You hired me cause you need me, not me pay for shit and hope to get paid. I have an etsy and it's not doing so hot. I get it, my store is a niche and that's fine. But online jobs? If you have…
Can we start a new political party?
The Workers Party. If we can make it attractive to Republicans and Democrats it could gain some steam. It’s straight up like a union for anyone that has a job. Working on providing a living wage, a maximum wage for bosses, and ending bailouts. Government spending would actually go to things Americans care about instead of corporations. Fix the roads, bridges, our outdated stop lights, clean air, schools and teachers, and taxing the rich just to name a few. Any more ideas we could actually use our voice for?

I worked for this employer for only a few months and quit on short notice (this is in the US btw). Almost two months after leaving they are saying I owe them $700 because they paid for benefits I used while not working there (true but common when an employee quits/is terminated) and because they paid me past my end date (not my fault or my mistake). Do I have any grounds to refuse payment? My concern is I don’t want them to forward it to a collection agency if left unresolved. I’m trying to buy a house and want my credit to remain unchanged. Any insights are appreciated! certified letter here
I'm currently working on the lot of an online dealership and making minimum wage. I've worked here about 4 weeks and already they have me training new people. I'm spineless and socially awkward so just kind of said yes and sort of trained them, but I'm tired of being stepped on and want to know the best way to tell them I won't train without compensation?
