fucked off coid policy
Elon musk is such an inspiration to me. This is a guy who believes in hard work, family and innovation – Just like me. That's why he's anti-union, leaves all child rearing to the mother(s) of his children and allows his companies to receive tax breaks and subsidies from governments around the world so he can make his penis rocket better than the other penis-rockets out there. He's a sound guy who worried about the world. He says we need to make more babies or we're not going to have enough workers to make more penis-rockets and cars. He is the richest man on the planet because he is smart. Smart enough to be born to a family that owned an emerald mine in south africa. Smart enough to be born to parents who enabled him to have one of the best educations you could buy and then smart enough…
Watching cameras
Has anyone else noticed how many places seem have a job where the person’s sole job is to do nothing but watch the security cameras, just to catch employees doing something wrong? There’s a big sandwich chain, and several local people have told me if they sit, take out their phone, or anything against the rules, the local office will call and fire them on the spot. Hell, at my job, we are all warned that management constantly watches the cameras all the time.
Job Posting: We want an amazing photographer with +5 years experience studio work, who can also be a videographer, model, creative director, social media manager, and sometimes event coordinator. *During screening process, no interview” Hiring Manager: “What is your salary requirement?” Me: “Before discussing a salary requirement, I'd like to hear more specific details about the role, team structure, and environment. However, based on my previous pay experience and how I am interpreting your job listing, I'd expect a salary range of $XX-XX. Can we discuss the job listing in more detail?” Hiring Manager: “While we love your work and are impressed by your portfolio, we regret to inform you that we cannot meet your salary requirements and will be looking for someone else” Me: Annoyed because I just wanted to confirm what they are asking for and wondering how anyone doing all of that work would take something less…
So I have medical documents citing that I have covid for 3 weeks and this last test showing I’m negative. So I was MIA for 4 weeks for work at this warehouse that packages paper. I hate this job. But it’s the only job in a while that could pave my future and family for the better. I work through an agency, and the position was temp to hire. So I stuck to my guns and grind through 12 hour shifts for 5 days to try to keep it, and survive a new field or work. Now my agency is telling me that after I’m finally negative. That the work had to keep production so they’ll have to see if the position is available still. I’m mad, sad, irate. I’d take this on the chin but I have my family to support. I work in California. What the fuck can…

And they wonder why we quit…
I’ve been at my service job a couple months but the pay kinda sucks compared to others in the area, and they keep adding me shifts to days i can’t do, so a couple days ago i handed my notice in over email. I went in for a shift today, my first since I handed my weeks notice and all the managers completely blanked me, the GM (the way he talks staff is another reason I quit), decided he was going to give me a list of tasks entirely out of my job description. i’m meant to be just a server, which is all i’m paid to do, but he had me drink running, cleaning as well as serving, which i’ve never done before and he gave me no training on. I should’ve refused but i thought screw it it’s my last week. i spilt one drink (not bad for…
