Hello Anti-Workers, If you want to know how things got so bad look at Human Resources prior to 2008 GFC. Back then if the employees complained about the manager, HR would take a serious reprimanding action against him. But after 2008 the managers and CEO's thought they are doing “God's Work” like Blankfein and many other top CEO's, they suddenly became infallible. If you try to complain to HR, you will get “REKT” and you will have many enemies, probably a pink slip by EOY. The work place is full of Shlubs! Shlubs are necessary for the success of top management, those are guys who nod their heads “Yes Sir” without even questioning anything, they are taken advantage of by top management, and they are the fall guys when the shit hits the fan. Imagine if the entire department complains about their manager and HR says that the problem is…

Robots being able to do boring, hard jobs should be seen as a good thing as it means humans can live better and work less, enjoying life more. Instead its seen as a bad thing that now people no longer have the “opportunity” to work a 50hr a week job for minimum wage and barely make ends meet.
Not saying I'm against shoplifting (in corporate stores). Lifted a ton of designer gear back in the day. But loss prevention don't care whether lifting is done by employees or starving mothers. Can we get behind most shoplifting as a subreddit? As long as it isn't the main focus (RIP r/shoplifting) we'll be fine.
I really feel for some of you out there.
Maybe it's just because I'm from the deep south but I read so many stories of people getting actually yelled at by their bosses, called names, and chastised as if they are children. Where I'm from if some dude actually got in people's faces yelling at them and calling them names but you'd get straight knocked out around here. Half the people around here are dirt poor, in and out of county jail and barely have plumbing in their houses. Boarded up windows and holes in the floors stuff like that, mind you. Don't let the bastards take your dignity. I grew up poorer than I'll be if I lose this job it ain't no big deal. Life goes on.
I’m so tired I just want to cry I’m trying to help and covering for everyone I can and just trying to keep them from having to deal with complications but I can’t anymore. I’m not even getting paid anymore and I don’t care if I do I just want to sit here and cry I’m just so tired. I just gave up on writing my hours down for this week cause I can’t even remember what mornings I was going in and was too zoned out to remember to write them down when I was closing. I don’t care if I get paid anymore I just want to give up on everything and stop trying. This is nonsense I am sorry I don’t even know if this type of post is allowed but I don’t even have anyone to talk to.
Slow to hire replacements
Within the last 6 months we’ve lost 2 employees and a 3rd was fired. Naturally, everyone’s work fell onto me. Even prior to this, my boss has entrusted me with work that he didn’t/doesn’t feel comfortable giving to anyone else. I confronted my boss and he couldn’t understand why this would be frustrating for me.. and he peppered in some insults. A few weeks pass and NOW they finally hired 2 employees – 1 is a temp with zero experience. They hadn’t even posted a job listing until I complained. They expect to hire 1 employee within 3 months and then another 6 months or more after that to replace the temp. I’m expected to take on even more work (I’m already slammed) and provide training for no extra pay. My company regularly brings in multi-million $ settlements and yet they underpay and provide next to no benefits. My boss…
I’ve heard this a lot by a lot of right wingers and baby boomers. Since I’m an immigrant as well I disagree but I want to know you guys thoughts on this.
One of my best ones is I was working at a large supermarket store when I was 19yrs old, on the Deli counter. I booked off a day 4 weeks in advance because I had a ticket to a gig for my birthday, and the day before I was supposed to go I was told I couldn't have it off because there was no one available to work the solo 4:30-8:30 shift (I had to travel an hour to the gig so I'd miss it completely with this shift). I argued but didn't win and they made me work it. So I started my 4:30 shift the next day and just began all of my “closing up duties” and managed to close the entire deli bar down by 5:30. I then just left and went to the gig and no one ever noticed. (And I still got paid for the…
https://www.mprnews.org/story/2022/02/11/st-paul-teachers-union-to-hold-strike-vote-next-week Community: Can we fund public schools equitably, rather than based on parents' income? ALL kids deserve a fair chance. My child's future should not depend on generational wealth and the zip code I can afford to live in. Billionaires: I'm not paying for your kids to have the confidence to refuse my poverty wages. What if we treat public education like a hostile takeover business? We can hire CEOs Superintendents who gut schools from the inside and sell the parts to their competitors charter schools. Then we can tell the poors that they are responsible for their children's failure to get ahead, because they had the CHOICE of which revolving door of charter schools their kids attend. Union Educators: Ok, but you'll have to come for us first. “I voted yes for mental health supports for boys and girls!” #StPaulStudentsDeserve #timeisnow
