First of all, let me say this even if the US is a country of immigrants I think the citizens of this country should have the right to opportunities that are available here. I am a well-educated person working in an engineering position from South Asia and I face a lot of less problems than an average immigrant doing labor-intensive jobs. However, the working conditions I am being subjected to are very harsh. I enjoyed my last job but it was stressful as hell. Maybe one day off a week. Whatever day off you were blessed with wasn’t guaranteed. Even when requesting a day off for an appointment my boss would respond asking what time I thought it would be over, And if I could come in after. The Sydney Morning Herald has three largely positive stories about office returns today. It follows two the other day in which one almost appeared to be workshopped from the head of a big bank with the business council. The business council had previously come out and said workers shouldn't expect pay increases if they can't have those vital hallway conversations with management. What shit. Last night my wife and i ordered some pizza for delivery. Nothing better than pizza for DnD right? And as i took my trash out he pulled up to our place with a huge grin saying “dude, thank you so much for the tip. I was just saying to my gf that im gonna give this tipper a foot rub.” I said its no problem and he tells me that he had 18 deliveries this shift and 10 people didnt tip at all…. This man was excited because of an 8 dollar tip which was 20 percent, you know is the standard. Fuck the tipping systems man.

Yesterday was a special day to me so I decided to celebrate at this very fancy Sushi restaurant with my partner. We was a bit late but the restaurant was still very packed, we had to wait for 30 minutes to get a table, then staffs mistook our order and on top of it the food was kinda not very good? Like our grilled fish was undercooked and some of the sushi pieces was unseasoned. We were really annoyed but we decided to not let the staff know. When we left, the waitress gave us this form to review the services, and we thought that we should be honest about it. We gave the service about 3 stars, but still mentioned that the restaurant was very packed so we were generally empathetic about it, and like we expected it to be something automated. I deliver food for GrubHub and today I went to pick up an order at Popeyes. The two people working the counter were an older woman who looked like she was either a severe alcoholic or recovering meth addict. The other was a young guy that was probably 16-18 years old and you could tell he was trying but he wasn't moving as fast as the older lady (the manager I believe) would've liked. She was yelling at him “you are going too damn slow! you've been working here long enough you should know better!” “And you wonder why I only schedule you on weekends…” She picked up the box he was packing with food and said “how do you expect to use this box for this order? this box is way too small! Are you stupid?” And slammed the box down. The boy was obviously humiliated, customers started leaving…
