Normally I don’t mind working an extra shift on Saturday because hey its extra money and I don’t totally hate my job (construction insepctor). I told them I’m helping family move out tomorrow so I can’t do it but they keep trying to ask me to “step up and help out”. Funny how they always forget all the hundreds of times you’ve sacrificed for them when they want more from you. I’m helping my mother-in-law move out of her apartment and into her new one. I can’t reschedule and she’s been expecting me to help her out for weeks (she lives alone and is extremely anxious about moving all the heavy furniture). Grocery Store Clerk
While waiting in a long line to pay for my groceries, the cashier waited until the customer in front of me was half way finished. She still had groceries on the conveyor belt and the cashier said “I'm done, I quit!” And walked out. I was pissed off for about 5 seconds before I realized what she was feeling. Good for her! Fuck that shitty job!

My sister started her first ever job 3 months ago at an electronics boxstore. For the first month she quite enjoyed it but now she’s pretty sour about it. She says the managers throw their weight around, treat staff awfully and she experienced blatant sexism. A new manager started at the store recently and last week she was called to the managers office. He said to her “the previous manager said you were friendly, bubbly and enjoyed your job. I’m not getting that from you now; what we can do to improve your experience with us?”. Before this meeting they had already refused to give her the same rota every week which would’ve made her happier and a pay rise was out of the question. Her response to him was “Nothing really. Management treat us terribly and I’m just here for the money. I don’t plan on being here long”.…
