Work for a multi-billion dollar telecommunications company as a sales associate with one other associate. This associate and I run the store. Management is 2 hours away. Our store made the #1 sales store in the region for January. Associate got a letter from regional (5 ranks above ours) thanking them and them only for placing our store in #1 ranking. Literally nothing said to me. We have equal responsibilities. I make sales. So I got a job with this non-profit that basically outsources film instructors to youths. Once a week, I go to my local youth center and assist kids in producing film/video related stuff. The organization I'm employed by is egregiously disorganized. When I was interviewed, the time and day of the interview changed 4 times before the interview actually happened. Then there was “training” I had to do (which was also rescheduled 4 times, per their problems, not mine). After my first day, the HR person reached out and asked how it went. Advice for someone starting first job
I’m not sure if this is the best place to go for advice, but with everything I’ve been seeing about working in this country, I’m a little nervous to start out. I just got a part time job as a janitor at a local convenience store, and I’m wondering if there is anything I should know that I don’t already. I've had enough! I currently work in the hospitality industry, I'm work on both bar and on the floor at whetherpsoons. Earlier I had a full blown panic attack and my manager essentially told me I need to stop and basically threatened my job (not outright) but it was heavily implied.
I’ve been with this company for 3 years. Just changed from specialist 1 to level 2, and took on multiple new trainees from 2021. I’ve trained over 20-30 people in our standards and procedures just as a standard employee. My boss has constantly been relying on me for help and I’m one of the most established people in the department. There’s even been meetings that I sit in as a substitute for my boss because I know our daily procedures better than they do. My boss has been commending me for my excellent production score and hyping up my pay increase for weeks. Today, I got the confirmation that it’s an increase of 0.80 an hour. Cursed out a former employer
Hi, I gave a piece of my mind to a former employer in a public park in Philly a while ago. I recorded the whole thing. It was not pleasant, I cursed him out etc. My question is is it allowed to post? It was epic!
I hate my manager so much. When I first came here, all the other coworkers told me about her anger issues and that as long as you're not on her bad sad, things will be fine. But without talking to me at all, she reduced my days in half. Apparently, she had a meeting with all the workers and told them that they've been lacking in performance. And then she said that from now on, scheduling would be based on performance. I wasn't working that day. I wasn't even scheduled to work that day. I had to hear about this from another coworker. She hasn't email me anything about it and this meeting happened three days ago. I wish she would've talked to me first at least. For clarification, this is retail job.
Forced to Work with Covid
My fiance had several friends over this past weekend and many of them are sick and have tested positive for covid. Regardless my fiance's boss is requiring him to work and is telling him to not take a test even though he is clearly sick too. One of his coworkers is old and already not in good health, and I'm really worried contracting it would kill him, not to mention the customers. This is so so so fucked up. What can we do??????

Every single rich person you know is, at least on paper, in constant massive debt, but the whole scheme is that they're taking on that debt to hoard more and more resources so they can take on more debt to hoard more resources. And no, no one's foreclosing on someone for doing this, haven't you been paying attention? In 2008 they literally just shoved as many tax dollars into their accounts as possible so that people could keep buying the scheme.
