Promoted a month ago – just received my 3.8% increase. My company had its best ever sales year…

I’m just here to vent because I’m pissed. I received the same $ amount last year after a shitty sales year and no promotion… I’m pretty pivotal to sales and the % over goal is a direct reflection of my work. Been with these guys for 6 years…. Genuinely hurt by this shaft.

David’s Bridal $11/hr

David's Bridal overstaffs their shifts on purpose “in case someone gets sick or quits” but when we all get dressed in their strict dress code and drive all the way into work, we are told to leave because they over scheduled. So I don't even get my $11/hr. Our commissions on sales sometimes go to other people because of management favoritism and because management fosters a sense of competition to make staff climb over each other to claim a sale

Rejected a job offer today

Company wanted to pay me overtime after 50, I insisted that it would be ideal for me to get overtime after 40. This was a trucking position driving tractor trailers on a graveyard shift. Hiring manager insisted that overtime after 50 was fair and competitive in the trucking industry. I knew that I would be missing out on a lot of money because it was 50-55 hours a week and they're just doing that to save the company money. I know my worth and I denied the offer

Downfall: The Case Against Boeing

I have to assume that everyone following this subreddit hates major corporations. If you do recommend that you watch and also do not watch Downfall: The Case Against Boeing on Netflix. Spending 90+ minutes hearing all about how a major corporation gave literally gave no fucks about human lives and only cared about stock prices and profits is infuriating!!!!

Laborer who can’t do labor jobs anymore wants to know where to go.

TLDR at bottom As the title says i'm a laborer atm, i work in a factory and make ok money for the rural area 14.50. I cought covid back in 2020 didn't have it to bad and lost taste for half a year, however since then i catch everything and have missed soo much work i'm sure im going to lose my job at some point probably sooner than later. I know i wont be able to go into another factory/labor job getting sick almost every month or 2. I am hoping someone can tell me what jobs i can try and get into where i can hopefully work from home and have less of a chance to catch something. I've pretty much been working since out of high school. I'm 35 have a wife and 1 y/o i know how to use a computer quite well, most my hobbies…

advice on what to do, company won’t pay sick hours

I am leaving in two weeks and wanted to cash out my sick hours , I was going to do it where I did 8 hours every week so it won't be all out once but they said I can't do that even tho it says I can do it with a week's notice which is what i was doing. And now they're saying I won't be able to cash out all of them because it's only the first quarter so 32/4 is only 8 hours . So they said 8 hours is the most they can do but someone who recently has quit told me she got all her sick time paid off into her last check. I don't understand if it's just because it's me or if because they're not legally entitled to give it to me but wouldn't it be discrimination if the girl before me was…
