“Auto” deducted lunches

Employer recently started automatically deducting lunches from employees. What I did not realize until now was that when I clock out for anything less than a 30 minute lunch I am still deducted the full 30 minutes. I bring a lunch to work and eat in my office. My lunches are often interrupted with phone calls as I am the main party responsible for taking cc payment via phone as well as answering general phone calls when absolutely necessary. I initially used the term “stealing” to describe what this felt like to find out. The CFO accused me of parading around telling everyone the company was stealing from employees (I said this to the Branch Manager upon learning of the markings on my time card, one person) then sat me down in his office and responded to me saying I don’t know how this could not be illegal by saying…

I currently have a total of 6.5 unpaid hours, and need advice in how to proceed.
