Had a job interview this week over zoom. I am not looking for work at the moment but I thought I’d listen because it was a decent raise.
Granted this was a public sector role and I’ve had these types of interviews before. Very, very formal. But this one was formal and awkward. It was over zoom and for the entirety of it both the CEO and his assistant were typing my responses. No eye contact. It was a weird vibe. They also asked questions like my experience with MS Office. This to someone who has been in the industry 10 years and grew up around computers.
Learned today that I didn’t get a second interview. Whole process was just weird.
