Okay I don't know how to feel about what just happened but want to share it with you because wtf
A little background info, I work for an establishment that is family owned. I haven't been here more that 3 months and noticed hostile situations, people quitting on the spot, unfair pay, religious cliques, gossip, and subtle racism.
Someone left a bad review on Google for a service they had and used the name of my coworker who helped them in the post. The bad review accused my coworker of not doing their job correctly amongst other things that were out of her control.
Right now the owner of the establishment is on the phone with my coworker going sentence by sentence of the review asking for details… Now I'm afraid that someone leaving a bad review will cost me my job!
So people of Reddit, can an employer do that?! Has anyone had that happen to them at their work??? Wtf!!!
