Once your net worth passes $999,999,999.99, that excess should be immediately taken by the IRS. I think we can all agree that a billion dollars is more than enough money for a person to have. For a person to accumulate that much wealth, they must indulge fully into the exploitative nature of capitalism and sustain that indulgence to feed their ceaseless hunger for money. Their hunger has a detrimental effect on society as their exploitative practices become precedent. After all, if the “Captains of Industry” are able to sink that low, anyone can. We must set a limit to their greed. Will they lose the motivation to continue producing? Yes, but we no longer need them to do so. Will they attempt to more of their wealth? Of course, but they can't hide all of it, especially as tax havens come under greater international scrutiny. Might some simply leave the country, taking themselves, their money, and their businesses with them. Almost certainly, but in their place shall be new businesses of limited greed and exploitation, so little is lost. For our society to allow for infinite accumulation of wealth is for it to tolerate immoral levels of inequality, and the best way to stem that inequality is to stem the fortunes of the uber-rich
